After graduating from James Madison University cum laude in 1991, Mr. Markowitz attended Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida. After earning his law degree from Stetson, cum laude in 1994, Mr. Markowitz was selected to clerk for the Honorable Bobby Gunther at the Fourth District Court of Appeals. After a two year stint clerking at the appellate court, Mr. Markowitz transitioned into private practice where, for the past 17 years, his primary focus has been in personal injury litigation, telecommunications issues and insurance coverage disputes. Outside of work, Mr. Markowitz is very involved in coaching youth sports in his hometown of Parkland and serves on the board of directors for the Parkland Flag Football League.
