Has been awarded an AV rating by the prestigious Martindale-Hubbell as a “reflection of having achieved the highest levels of professional skills and integrity.” Throughout his 31 years of practice, Mr. Godfrey has ably and successfully represented a varied array of clients in worker’s compensation, medical malpractice, products liability, catastrophic injury, toxic exposure and labor and employment cases, including many Fortune 500 companies, employers of all sizes and configurations, insurance carriers, servicing agents, third-party administrators, manufacturers, doctors, nurses, hospitals, nursing homes. He has been invited to speak and lecture at gatherings of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, Worker’s Compensation Claims Professionals, various insurance companies and seminars on such topics as occupational diseases, toxic exposure, civil procedure, attorney’s fees, Employer’s Liability B, major contributing cause, subrogation, statutory immunity for employers, and rehabilitation. Mr. Godfrey has tried countless cases to judges and juries throughout Florida including Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Volusia, Orange, Lee, Collier, Duval, Hillsborough, Martin and Monroe Counties. He has also presented appellate briefs and delivered winning oral arguments to the First District, Third District and Fourth District Courts of Appeal, as well as the Florida Supreme Court.
